Who we are
ClearProof Desk is a small editorial team that answers one narrow question well: when people ask whether an online trading platform is legitimate, what does the evidence actually show? This site is our file on Olymp Trade — the trust questions, the regulatory picture, the complaint patterns, and the checks a reader can run without taking anyone's word for it.
We started this desk because the "scam or legit" corner of the web is unusually badly served. On one side sit pages that call every platform a fraud to harvest clicks; on the other, promotional write-ups that quietly leave out the parts a reader most needs. Neither helps someone who is one tab away from a deposit and just wants to know what they are dealing with.
How we work
- Documents over opinion. Company status, dispute-resolution membership and account rules come from the platform's own published pages and from the dispute body's own site — not from forums, and not from other review sites.
- No invented numbers. Minimum deposits, payout percentages, bonus conditions and processing windows change often and differ by region. Where we cannot stand behind a current figure we describe the mechanism and tell you exactly where to read the number for yourself.
- No claims of hands-on testing. We do not run test accounts and we do not pretend to. What we publish is a verification framework: the questions worth asking, and how a reader can answer them from primary sources.
- Structure over adjectives. When we compare platforms we compare structure — how disputes are resolved, how withdrawals are controlled, how clearly terms are published — because that is what survives a change in marketing.
- Corrections in the open. If something here is wrong or has gone stale, tell us; we will fix it and say what changed.
What we will not do
We will not call a platform a fraud because a reader lost a trade, and we will not describe a high-risk product as safe because it pays a commission. Fixed-time trading carries a real risk of losing the money staked, the legal treatment of offshore platforms is unsettled in several of the markets we cover, and no page on this site will pretend otherwise. Those statements stay in place whatever our commercial arrangements are.
Who writes it
Editorial responsibility for this site sits with Yasmin Delacroix, Trust and Safety Editor, who reviews every page before it is published and owns any correction that follows.
How we are funded
This site can earn a commission when a reader opens an account through a partner link. That funding model is disclosed on every page and explained in full on our partner disclosure page. It never changes a verdict, and it never removes a risk statement.
